Former Dynamo Moscow defender Vitaly Dyakov said that football players are now exposed to heavy loads vprognoze.ru.

“It seems to me that the players are now overloaded: the championship, the national cups and also the national team matches. Footballers have incredible workloads, they have a lot of games and they don’t have much time to recover. “When there are so many matches, injuries will come from there,” said Dyakov.

In the spring of 2022, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to suspend the participation of the Russian national team and all Russian clubs in all competitions controlled by these organizations.

Russian clubs other than Zenit did not play a single match in European cups in 2022. The Russian national team, led by Valery Karpin, played six friendly matches in 2023.

At the meeting of the board of directors of the Russian Football Union (RFU) on December 20, all members of the organization considered that a move to Asia without FIFA’s guarantee did not make sense.
