Russian figure skater admits she was upset after winning the Russian Championships

Russia’s new figure skating champion Adelia Petrosyan said she was sorry after her performance in the tournament.

“The emotions are very different. I am surprised, sad and very happy. Why are you upset? “The goal was to collect a quadruple somersault and a quadruple toe loop, but only two toe loops appeared,” Petrosyan said in an interview after the results were announced.

On December 23, Petrosyan became the winner of the Russian Championship. It received 246.53 points. Sofia Muravyova took second place with 239.4 points. Kamila Valieva, who was the leader after the short program, took third place with 237.99 points.

Petrosyan finished fifth in the Russian Championship last season. This season the girl won two gold medals at the Russian Grand Prix.

The Russian Championship will end on December 24 with the award ceremony and demonstration performances.

Evgeniy Semenenko came first in the men’s singles competition. In dance, Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin were recognized as champions. Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov won the sports pairs tournament.
