Leonid Slutsky, the former head coach of the Russian national football team, may become the head of one of the Chinese clubs. This was reported by “Sports Express”.

In addition to Slutsky, it was noted that former assistant coach at English Hull City and Dutch Vitesse Oleg Yarovinsky could also start working in China.

52-year-old Slutsky’s last place of employment was Rubin Kazan, which he left on November 15, 2022. He has not been involved in coaching since then but is very active in appearing on various comedy shows and commentating on matches.

The specialist also worked in Moscow, Samara Krylya Sovetov and CSKA. With the army team, he became a three-time national champion, twice won the Russian Cup and the Super Cup.

From 2015 to 2016 he combined work for CSKA and the Russian national team. Under his leadership, the national team qualified for the 2016 European Championship, but failed to qualify from the group, losing to Slovakia and Wales and drawing with England.
