“It is important to organize matches and raise money to help our people who are in a really difficult situation. This is really important for us, for our country.
I also live in Ukraine with my family, so I have a high interest in the country. However, it is a shame that interest in Ukraine is now less than before. Stepanenko said that other countries should support our state, army and government.
The Ukrainian national team finished third in the European Championship qualifiers, leaving behind Italy and England in the group stage. Now Sergei Rebrov’s team will play against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the play-off match in March 2024. In the other semi-final, the Israeli team will face the Icelandic team. Then the winners of these pairs will play against each other.
