2022 Russian figure skating champion Alexandra Trusova will take part in a hockey gala match dedicated to the opening of the ice rink at the Russian Railways Arena in Cherkizovo. This was reported by sports.ru.
The athlete, together with his father, will be part of the legendary hockey team that will play against the stars of Lokomotiv.
The match will be played in two 15-minute periods format, with the throw-in taking place at 14:00 Moscow time.
Trusova won the silver medal at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, losing to compatriot Anna Shcherbakova. Kaori Sakamoto from Japan finished in the top three.
Alexandra Trusova moved from Eteri Tutberidze to Evgeni Plushenko in 2020, but returned to Khrustalny in 2021. In 2022, she left Tutberidze again to train in Svetlana Sokolovskaya’s group.
After Russian figure skaters were suspended from international tournaments, Trusova missed the Russian Championships in the 2022/23 season. He last appeared on the ice at the Russian Grand Prix in Samara at the end of November 2022. She later came second.
