HE Athletic Torrellano Elche announced the identity of its new coach this Sunday after the dismissal of Carlos de las Cuevas, who put the team from the Elche region into the relegation zone, due to poor results. The manager chosen to save the situation was former Elche player Edu Albacar, who is now on the technical staff of Costa City, a club owned by the Ñíguez family.
Albacar played for Elche between 2010 and 2018 and was an important part of the historic team that was promoted to the First League in the 2012/13 season.
