Alexander Mostovoy, former forward of Spartak Moscow and the Russian national team, talked about the possibility of the red-white match with Krylya Sovetov in the 18th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) being postponed due to low temperatures. In his statement to socialbites.ca, he expressed the opinion that this possibility should be discussed directly on the match day.

“They said the tour would be canceled this week, but it looks like it will go on after all. I think this should be discussed on match day. In my opinion, according to the rules, you cannot play if the temperature is -15 or below. It’s good that there is no snow, the field will be more or less normal. But usually this is decided on game day. Mostovoy thinks that if there is a match, they will be a little patient and run away.

The match between Spartak and Krylya Sovetov is planned to be played on Saturday, December 9, and the start time is scheduled for 14:00 Moscow time. Competitors will be evaluated by Pavel Kukuyan. Spartak head coach Guillermo Abascal will miss this match due to disqualification.

The 17th round CSKA – Rostov and Lokomotiv – Zenit matches took place in heavy snow conditions. The meeting of the army team with the Rostovites was threatened with postponement, but in the end it took place at the appointed time. After the match, Rostov’s head coach Valery Karpin called the person responsible for the decision to play in such weather an idiot, and for this reason he was disqualified for one match and suspended for the other match.

Previously a veteran of Spartak named A possible misfire of the team in the “Wings” match would be disastrous.
