Russian Premier League (RPL) President Alexander Alaev comments “RB Sports” He spoke about the situation regarding the matches of the 18th round of the Russian Championship, scheduled for December 8-10.

“The RPL general assembly can postpone the tour by majority vote of the clubs. The decision must then be approved by the executive committee of the Russian Football Union.

We called all the clubs in the morning. Everyone was in favor of playing within the framework of the current rules, that is, by taking the head referee’s temperature before the match and making a possible postponement decision. We will consider each specific case separately. There is a possibility of postponement to 2024,” said the RPL chairman.

During this period, two matches will be held in Moscow – on December 8, Moscow Lokomotiv will play against Yekaterinburg Ural, and on December 9, the capital’s Spartak will play against Krylya Sovetov Samara. The frost temperature in Moscow these days is expected to be between 13 and 18 degrees.

After the 17th round, the leader of the Russian championship was Krasnodar with 35 points. St. Petersburg Zenit is in second place with 33 points.
