According to the publication, the football player’s contract includes a clause stating that the Spanish club can terminate his contract early after the 2024/2025 season, provided that he plays less than 55 percent of the matches. The player’s contract with Barcelona continues until the summer of 2026.
The Polish striker has played in 13 of a possible 15 matches in La Liga this season, scoring seven goals (two from penalties) and three assists. On 3 December, Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid with a score of 1:0. João Felix scored the only goal.
Lewandowski also featured in four of the five Champions League matches. The striker managed to score only once. Barcelona secured its place in the play-offs of the tournament.
Lewandowski moved to Barcelona in 2022. The Polish striker previously played for Bayern Munich for eight years. From 2010 to 2014 the striker played for Borussia Dortmund.
