It’s something of a cult on the part of the Auriazules fans before the opening whistle of their home games at CU.
The identity and mysticism of Cougars and its fans are largely built through the university link: some study there and therefore support the club, others from the past and have two reasons for going there or others just go even though they have not studied there.
It has become a common occurrence for the team and fans to call it together before the football match. Always standing and with your arm —the right of preference— raised to head height.

Rituals and ceremonies have emerged from sports and National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is no exception, especially in 100% student or amateur sports such as American football.
The latter was of vital importance before his birth, because that is where he played Ernesto Agapito Navas. In addition to being captain in 1935, he held the position of Head Coach from 1939.
De Goya already existed at that time, so Agapito felt that an additional addition as an introduction was lacking. From there came the need to shape himself, and to do that he nurtured and surrounded himself with an important group of friends.
He debuted in a team sport in 1961 during the commitments of Cougars CU with the American.

In 1940 it consisted of a group of university students led by the aforementioned Navas, Luis Perez Rubio, Alfonso De Garay, Gloria Vicens, Angel Vidal, Fernando Guadarrama that united with the ingenuity of Ismael Tio Valdezcreated the music and lyrics.
They sang it for the first time on the patios of the National Preparatory School of San Idelfonso. Since then, each team representing the Maximum House of Studies sings it in unison before the start of the games.
It was recorded in 1978, with changes by the maestro Fernando Guadarrama Velázquez and editions of Alfonso Navarrete as a soloist. The choir and orchestra were performed by the UNAM Philharmonic, conducted by Hector Quintanar.
