President of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Alexander Alaev spoke about the postponement of the Russian Championship matches from December 2023 to 2024. His words are quoted “Match TV”.
“We will see what the weather will be like in the next round. We have a chance to postpone the championship to the spring part. We will see what to do,” said Alaev.
The 18th round of RPL will take place from December 8-10. Four more matches will be played in the 17th round: Krasnodar will play against Orenburg, Lokomotiv against Zenit, Akhmat against Spartak, and Dinamo against Rubin.
While it was decided to postpone the match between Lokomotiv and Zenit on December 3, the issue of postponing the match between CSKA and Rostov was also discussed.
After 16 rounds in RPL, Zenit is leading with 33 points. While the St. Petersburg team reached the top thanks to a crushing 3-0 win against Sochi, they remained one point behind Krasnodar. Krylia Sovietov completed the top three. Samara defeated Sochi with a score of 2-0 in the 17th round of RPL.
Previously Karpin called him stupid who decided to play with CSKA in the snow.
