American Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight fighter Tony Ferguson received a suspended sentence for drunk driving. This was reported by Sport Keeda.
The incident occurred in Hollywood in May 2023. After the party, the fighter got behind the wheel of a pickup truck and crashed into two cars parked on the side of the road. No one was injured as a result of the accident.
The athlete was sentenced to one year of probation. Penalties include being banned from driving under the influence of a measurable amount of alcohol and requiring compensation.
In July 2023, Tony Ferguson lost his sixth fight in a row. He lost to his compatriot Green at UFC 291. Prior to this fight, Ferguson fought against Nate Diaz in September 2022 and lost to him by submission. He currently has 35 fights, 26 of which ended in victory, and he was defeated in nine of them.
On December 15, Ferguson will fight against Britain’s Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296.
