Columbus Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekäläinen commented on rumors that Russian forward Dmitry Voronkov does not want to stay in the United States and plans to return to Russia. His words are quoted Athletic.

“He gets along well with everyone. He has a very good character. He seems to be well-liked in the room. He has a twinkle in his eye. From what I know, he has been a very good teammate this season.

We’re going to introduce him to some Russians in Columbus. We plan to include Fedor Tyutin if he wants. He helped Marchenko and me in the past,” said Kekäläinen.

In November, Business Online reported that Voronkov did not like living in the United States. He feels uncomfortable because he doesn’t know English and gets in touch with Ak Bars, with whom he played before.

Voronkov played in 16 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) this season, recording three goals and six assists.

Ovechkin before statedthat he had been under pressure from Crosby for many years.
