“Of course, income changed after the Olympics. When you devote your time entirely to sports, your income is salary, prize money, contracts, which do not affect your sports career much and you can do something without being distracted from your training. And now I have many activities, many different contracts, shootings, events. Shows were added, but I didn’t skate much in sports at shows.
The main source of income is still on ice. Lots of shows. There are plenty of off-ice activities, but the real part is the show. I bought a house, but that was before the Olympics. My father took it and I gradually distributed it from my prize money,” said the athlete.
Trusova won the silver medal at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, losing to compatriot Anna Shcherbakova. Kaori Sakamoto from Japan finished in the top three.
Alexandra Trusova moved from Eteri Tutberidze to Evgeni Plushenko in 2020, but returned to Khrustalny in 2021. In 2022, she left Tutberidze again to train in Svetlana Sokolovskaya’s group.
