Omari Tetradze, former player of the Russian national team, commented on the statement of national team coach Valery Karpin, who advised local football players to go to Europe. Tetradze quotes his words “Championship”.

“I would advise young people aged 17-18-19 who dream of Europe not to rush. It’s better to play here first, prove yourself, become a leader. From now on, things will be much easier for him in Europe. And if you leave at 20 and sit on a bench, there will be no development, only degradation,” Tetradze said.

There are currently four Russians playing in Europe’s top 5 leagues. This summer Daler Kuzyaev (Le Havre) and Arsen Zakharyan (Real Sociedad) left the RPL. Alexander Golovin has been playing for the French Monaco for several years, and Alexey Miranchuk plays for the Italian Atalanta.

Of these players, only Golovin and Kuzyaev play regularly. Zakhayan was never a starter after moving to Spain and Miranchuk has rarely featured for Atalanta since returning from a loan spell in Turin.

Former Chelsea football player statedThere is no demand for Russian players in Europe.
