Czech football players Jakub Brabec, Vladimir Zoufal and Jan Kuchta were suspended from the national team on the grounds that they violated the rules before the Euro 2024 qualifying match against the Moldavian national team. This was reported by the press service of the Czech national team on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“On Saturday evening, three national team players grossly violated the team’s internal rules. The message states that Jakub Brabec, Vladimir Tsoufal and Jan Kuchta left the team immediately by the decision of the team management.
According to Sport.cz, the players were drinking alcohol in one of the clubs in the center of Olomouc.
The match will be played at Andrów Stadium in Olomouc on 20 November. The starting whistle will sound at 22:45 Moscow time. The Czechs are in second place in Group E with 12 points they collected before the last match. In third place is the Polish team, which played all the matches and collected 11 points. The Moldovan team is in fourth place with 10 points. Therefore, in order to qualify for the European Championship, the Czechs need to play only in a draw.
Note that the suspended Kukhta played 10 matches for Lokomotiv in the 2021/2022 season, scoring three goals and making one assist. He currently plays for Slavia Prague.
