Hercules’ Argentine forward Agustín Coscia declared that he was “anxious” For making his first appearance since last August after being injured and helping the team. The striker had not yet been able to participate in the match with the blue-white team due to his Achilles tendon injury, which prevented him from training with the team and starting the season, since he was discharged last week.
It looks like the light has already been seen and he could make his debut this Sunday against his former team Alzira.
I’m looking forward to helping the team and taking a few minutes for the coach to make a decision.
How did you see the team from the outside?
He’s very good, I love him, especially his intensity, the ambition he has, the way he plays, the desire we have to win every game, home and away. We showed this in all the games, we always go on the field to win, we never wait to see what the opponent will do, on the contrary, we try to be the hero on the opposite field.
How have you spent the last few weeks?
The player always wants to play, especially when he comes to a new place where he has to work hard and leave everything there as soon as possible. Unfortunately I was injured and couldn’t start normally. From the outside, it is very difficult not to be able to participate in training and matches, but now that stage has passed and everything is very positive and there is a desire to contribute to the team and be good.
“I’m eager to play and I’m eager to help the team, I can provide definition and be there to score goals for those who are down in the area.”
What can you contribute to Hércules now that you can do it from the field?
I love the team very much. I am a striker who likes to be in the area, to be on the last step, to complete the plays… I can define, complete the play and be there for the incoming balls to result in goals.
The starting striker so far is Marcos Mendes…
We have very good relations with Marcos, Diego and all the players. The truth is that it’s a very healthy group of very good people. We all want to contribute to the team in the best way possible.
What do you think of the atmosphere created at Rico Pérez?
Fabulous from day one. I remember our first friendly match against UCAM and I was very happy with the people and the stadium. I was playing here two years ago and I was very pleased. I think this is an incredible hobby, club and stadium.
Do you look at each game on a play-by-play basis or do you prefer to go further?
It’s always match by match. We can’t see any further. We will play against Alzira this Sunday and we must try to get the three points. We remain calm and focused on this very important day for us.
What do you expect from this match?
I also have a team I play for and many people and friends I know. I am waiting for a match like everyone else, we are trying to be leaders in our own field, to have the ball, to play in the opponent’s field, to attack and to find positions.
It could be his first appearance in the Hercules jersey…
God willing, yes, if not, I will continue to contribute to training the best way I know how when the time comes. When the coach decides, I try to do what’s best for the team.
They won eight of eleven matches, but neither Lleida nor Badalona gave them time.
We need to be mentally strong and not relax. We know there are still two thirds of the championship left and our idea is to stay ahead by winning Sunday’s game and then the next game. Our mission and what we have in mind is to try to win every match we have. You must never relax, you must win and win again and that is what the whole team wants and that is what we will fight for in every match.
