Honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova told why she did not go to the State Duma after completing her professional career. His words were quoted Sports24.

“Why have I never studied or gone to the State Duma? I have nothing to do there. I’m not the one who should sit there, I need to work at my profession. As for the activities of the athletes here, we do not feel their work. By the way, this is a question for them, why do we not feel this?

But the result is the same: our athletes and Olympic champions live poorly and do not receive any benefits,” said Tarasova.

Tarasova participated in the World University Games in 1966, paired with Georgy Proskurin. Shortly after, she had to end her sports career due to injury.

As a coach, Tarasova worked with such famous skaters as Irina Rodnina and Alexander Zaitsev, Natalya Bestemyanova and Andrey Bukin, Oksana Grischuk and Evgeny Platov, Alexey Yagudin. By 2004, his students had won a total of 41 gold medals at the World and European Championships, as well as seven Olympic gold medals.

Previously Tarasova in the name Milokhin is not very healthy after his words about relationships.
