The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has recommended national Olympic committees to boycott the World Friendship Games in Russia, State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina said. Rodnina’s words are quoted as follows: “Sports Express”.

We know that 100 countries have already registered for the Games and there are desires to organize such competitions in other countries later. The IOC is left behind. At the end of February 2022, the IOC issued an appeal to international sports federations, recommending that Russian and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
