Football expert Pavel Stipidi was skeptical about the call-up of Karabakh goalkeeper Andrei Lunev to the Russian national team to participate in the training camp in November. Stipidi quotes: “Euro-Football.Ru”.

“Lunev hasn’t played in Russia for two or three years. He did not play in Germany, then went to Azerbaijan. It’s time to forget about it, it’s over. Why was he called to the national team now? Don’t we have goalkeepers? We have a lot of young goalkeepers in almost all championship teams,” Stipidi said.

Russian and Cuban national teams will face each other in Volgograd on November 20. The meeting will start at 19.30 Moscow time.

In the spring of 2022, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to suspend the participation of the Russian national team and all Russian clubs in all competitions controlled by these organizations. Starting from spring 2022, Russian clubs and the national team will play only friendly matches.

The Russians drew with Kenya in their last match. The match held in Turkey ended with a score of 2:2.
