The Mexican striker scored the goal of honor in Fulham’s defeat to Aston Villa.
A year and eight months later, Raúl Jiménez was finally reunited with the goal in the English Premier League. The Fulham and Mexican national team forward scored his team’s only goal in the defeat to Aston Villa on Matchday 12 of the 2023/24 Premier League.
The Mexican’s goal came in the 70th minute of the second half, after a great assist from Antonee Robinson, who with a through ball left the former Águilas striker completely alone in front of Dibu Martínez and did nothing but push the ball.
With this, Raúl Jiménez ended a streak of almost two years without scoring in the Top Circuit of English football.
