“The World Sambo Championships turned out to be truly magnificent and brought new bright emotions and victories to athletes and spectators. I would like to note the success of Cameroonian sambo wrestler Seydou Njie Mulou, who won the gold medal for the second time in the weight category up to 98 kg in combat sambo. I am very pleased with the expansion of the geography of medal-winning countries: this year athletes from 23 national federations will return home with awards,” said Vasily Shestakov, President of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS).
The World Sambo Championship, whose partners were Rosneft and VTB Bank, was held in Yerevan from 10 to 12 November.
