Fede Valverde has officially extended his contract with Real Madrid. The Uruguayan midfielder extends his contract at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2029, just days after his teammates Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo Goes and Eduardo Camavinga did so.

Fede Valverde extends his contract with Real Madrid until mid-2029 and the announcement of his extension was made on Thursday, November 9. Real Madrid has set the exit clause at one billion euros.

The 25-year-old player, born in Montevideo, is one of the mainstays of Carlo Ancelotti’s team and in the current season he played a total of 16 matches between the League and the Champions League, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

He already played 1,252 minutes in the 2023/24 season, making him the second most used player of the season by the Italian coach. Only Antonio Rudiger has played more minutes than the former Peñarol (1,390).

Real Madrid’s statement

“Real Madrid CF and Fede Valverde have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which will remain with the club until June 30, 2029.

Valverde arrived at Real Madrid in July 2016, when he was just 18 years old. In the six seasons in which he defended the first team shirt, he is already one of the best midfielders in the world.

He has played 220 games, scoring 19 goals and winning 9 titles: 1 Champions League, 2 Club World Cups, 1 European Super Cup, 2 Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups. Valverde was MVP of the 2020 Spanish Super Cup final and the Silver Ball of the 2023 Club World Cup.”
