Zenit assistant head coach William de Oliveira said that he did not plan to stay in Russia for so long. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.

“Initially, I came to Russia to complete my contract with Amkar. But I am very glad that everything turned out this way and that I am still here. Russia welcomed me very warmly.

How Russian do I consider myself? 90 percent! I would say 100, but I still wasn’t born in Russia. Kitchen? Ah, I can’t refuse when our chefs prepare borscht! I love all the salads and soups offered in Russian cuisine,” said de Oliveira.

De Oliveira came to Russia in 2009 and played for Amkar Perm, Shinnik Yaroslavl, Dynamo Bryansk and Ufa. He has been working as Sergei Semak’s assistant at Zenit since 2019.

Zenit will host Krasnodar on November 11 in the 15th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The meeting will start at 19.30 Moscow time.

Before the match, the teams were separated by two points in the standings.
