Lokomotiv Moscow has not given up on the idea of bringing back Italian Atalanta midfielder Alexei Miranchuk. This was reported by “Bookmaker rating”.
The Moscow club expects the midfielder to return in the winter transfer window. It was stated that the football player’s priority is to stay in Europe.
Miranchuk’s representative, Vadim Shpinev, had previously reported that the “railway workers” were interested in the return of their students from Italy in the summer of 2023.
Miranchuk was transferred from Lokomotiv Moscow to Italian Atalanta in September 2020 and signed a 4.5-year contract.
The Russian player failed to gain a place in the main team and was transferred to Turin on loan in the summer of 2022. The midfielder spent a year at the Torino club, scoring four goals in 29 appearances, and the club wanted to keep him. The Russian player started the new season in Atalanta. Miranchuk played four matches for the team in all tournaments. The midfielder last appeared on the field in the match against Genoa on October 22.
Atalanta, who collected 19 points after 11 matches in the Italian championship, is in fifth place. On November 12, the team will face Udinese.
