Former Dynamo Moscow player Alexey Petrushin praised Spartak Moscow after the match against the capital Lokomotiv in the 14th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) and noted that the game went well. His words are quoted by the publication “Euro-Football.Ru”.

“Yet the team played with ten men for more than half the time and even outplayed the opponent at some points. However, Lokomotiv was a little disappointed in this regard. I thought that in such a situation, the host could put pressure on the red and white people. But in this respect the guests were superior to the “railway workers”. Honor and praise them for managing to draw in such a difficult moment,” said Petrushin.

On November 5, Spartak drew with Lokomotiv with a score of 1:1. The red-whites played in the minority for most of the half due to Khlusevich’s dismissal. At the beginning of the second half, Spartak opened the scoring with a goal from Anton Zinkovsky. After 10 minutes, Artem Dzyuba equalized the score.

After this match, both teams collected 21 points and maintained the fifth and sixth places respectively in the Russian Championship standings. In the next round, Spartak will host Rostov at home and Lokomotiv will host Akhmat Grozny at home.

Previously recognized Spartak and Lokomotiv’s best players in the derby.
