Two-time Olympic hockey champion Alexander Kozhevnikov criticized Jokerit owner Harri Harkimo, speaking about the club’s performance in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). His words are quoted “Match TV”.

“Politics is a scary thing. Harkimo is told to speak and he does. Normal things for Finns. They were and still are little whores. Those who do not remember the good, that’s all. There is nothing more to say about them,” said Kozhevnikov.

Harkimo had previously stated that he regretted the club’s performance in the KHL. Jokerit and Dynamo Riga left the KHL at the end of February 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine.

The Finns have twice reached the quarter-finals of the Gagarin Cup. They finished the 2020/21 season in second place in the Bobrov league.

On the 100th anniversary of its foundation on April 29, CSKA won the 2022/23 season Gagarin Cup by winning the seventh match of the final series against Kazan Ak Bars with a score of 3:2. Anton Slepyshev, Vladislav Kamenev and Darren Dietz scored the goals for the Kazan team, while Kirill Petrov and Dmitry Voronkov also scored for the Kazan team.

Earlier Vyacheslav Fetisov said “let them regret it” answered Jokerit’s owner’s statement regarding the KHL.
