Four players of the Polish U17 national football team were expelled from the team for unsporting behavior ahead of the World Cup. The Polish Football Federation (PZPN) announced this on their social networks.
“Due to unsportsmanlike behavior and rule violations, the coaching staff of the U-17 national team decided to expel four players. In the statement, it was stated that Oskar Tomczyk, Filip Rozga, Jan Labedzki and Filip Wolski left the Polish national team.
According to Meczyki.pl, four players of the Polish national team were caught under the influence of alcohol. The national team prepared for the World Cup by organizing a training camp in Indonesia. Four football players who left the hotel without permission after the friendly match were later found drunk. It was determined that one of them had a head injury.
The World Cup, in which football players under the age of 17 will participate, will start in Indonesia on November 10. It will end on December 2. The Polish national team will face Japan, Senegal and Argentina in the group stage.
