“We have a 46-year-old child in our family. Now I can brush my teeth myself. I adapted to training in the gym. But in daily life, I cannot close and open doors or use a spoon,” Kostomarov said.
At the beginning of January 2023, Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized after New Year’s performances at an open-air show. It was reported that he was in intensive care due to pneumonia and was connected to a ventilator, and his condition was considered to be extremely serious. He later received treatment in Kommunarka. Parts of his upper and lower limbs were amputated.
At the beginning of July 2023, the skater was discharged from the hospital. On June 26, Kostomarov posted a video in which he received prosthetic training. Then he began to frequently post pictures and videos on his social networks from various workouts: in the pool and in the gym.
Previously Kostomarov organized a training meetingboxing without prosthesis.
