Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocquette praised the effective play of the team’s Russian forward Andrei Kuzmenko. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.
“We don’t think about individual statistics. Hockey is a team game. If Andrei scores a goal it would be great for us and his goals are part of our game but there are other components to it. The important thing is that we are a team and in this sense I prefer not to bet too much on someone’s personal performance. When we win, I don’t really care who scores,” Tocquette said.
Andrei Kuzmenko moved to the Canucks in the summer of 2022, signing a one-year entry-level contract. Last season, he appeared in a total of 81 regular season games (38+34) in the Russian National Hockey League (NHL) and was the team’s third top scorer.
The Russian player played in 10 regular season matches this season and scored 3 goals and 6 assists. His team is in second place in the Western Conference.
