Russian team Virtus.pro defeated Ukrainian team Monte in the final of the Roobet Cup 2023 Counter Strike 2 tournament, with a prize fund of 250 thousand dollars.

Virtus.pro won the maps with a score of 2-1. The team is represented by Evgeny FL1T Lebedev, David n0rb3r7 Danielyan, Peter fame Bolyshev, Jami Jame Ali and Nikolay mir Bityukov (all from Russia).

Virtus.pro earned 150 thousand dollars from this tournament, and Monte earned 50 thousand dollars. Third place in the tournament was shared between the Brazilian team FURIA Esports and the Russian team Aurora Gaming, who each received a prize of 15 thousand dollars.

At its congress held on August 28, the International Esports Federation (IESF) voted to cancel the decision that Russian athletes cannot compete in international competitions under their own flag. 32 delegates voted to lift sanctions.

In connection with this, the Ukrainian national team withdrew its squads in all disciplines from the World Championships under the auspices of IESF.
