Paris Nizhny Novgorod midfielder Ilya Kukharchuk highly praised the coaching skills of team coach Sergei Yuran. His words are quoted “Bookmaker rating”.
“Is Yuran capable of making Spartak a champion? Of course I am, that’s a weird question. He achieved a lot as a football player. He hasn’t had the chance to coach a top club yet, so I think he deserves to coach Spartak,” said Kukharchuk.
Yuran took charge of Pari NN in April 2023. Under his leadership, the team avoided relegation to the First League by beating Rodina in the play-offs.
Paris NN, which has been playing in the Russian Premier League (RPL) for 12 weeks, is in eighth place in the rankings with 17 points.
Yuran played for Dynamo Kiev from 1988 to 1991. As part of the club, he became the champion of the USSR and the winner of the Cup. Later, the striker played for Benfica and Porto in Portugal and was transferred to Spartak in 1995. He played eight matches for the Muscovites and then moved to England and started playing for Millwall. Also in his career were the German “Fortuna” and “Bochum”.
Previously was named Spartak’s worst transfer in recent years.
