Russian hockey champion from Dynamo passed away 17:02

Dmitry Sukhanov, Russia’s hockey champion with Dynamo Moscow, died in Moscow at the age of 49. This was reported by Telegram channel shooting.

According to the source, the cause of death was acute heart failure. In recent years, he was walking leaning on a hockey stick. The body of the 49-year-old former defender was found in his home by his close friend, former Dynamo hockey player Evgeniy Gribko. Sukhanov had recently been complaining of pain in his legs and low blood pressure and had difficulty walking around the apartment.

Sukhanov spent almost his entire career in Dynamo Moscow. As part of the club, the defender became the champion of Russia (1993), the champion of the International Hockey League and the winner of the League Cup (1995), the finalist of the Euroleague (1997). He ended his professional career in 1997 and played in the amateur team between 2012-2014. After 2014, he coached the Rusichi team from the Russian Friendship League.
