Former owner of Spartak football club Andrei Chervichenko said that he was tired of the popularity he gained while managing the red and whites. Chervichenko quotes his words legal betting.
“Yes, it affected me for the next 10 years! I felt it the next day. Even now I want to be invisible, sometimes I really want to be ordinary. We used to take a lot of photos and get to know each other, but now we do less. There are situations when you don’t want to be recognized,” Chervichenko said.
Chervichenko was the owner of the Moscow club from 2022 to 2004. In the spring of 2004, Chervichenko sold a controlling stake in Spartak to Lukoil’s vice president Leonid Fedun. Later, Chervichenko worked in Khimki near Moscow.
Spartak, which lasted 11 weeks in the Russian Premier League (RPL), ranked eighth in the rankings by collecting 18 points. In the next round the team will play against Paris NN.
