World figure skating champion Elizaveta Tuktamysheva will not compete next season. This was reported by RIA News.

According to the source, the 26-year-old figure skater has decided not to start the season’s competitions and focus on performing in ice shows.

Tuktamyshev in an interview with socialbites.ca earlier reportedHe will definitely perform at the Russian Grand Prix stages in the 2023/24 season. The first stage took place in Ufa on October 15.

On December 24, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva became the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship (241.72 points). Sofia Akatieva became the best (249.74 points). Kamila Valieva took second place with 247.32 points.

Last season, the skater became the winner of the 4th stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow and the 6th stage in Perm.

In 2022, Tuktamysheva became the silver medalist of the World Championships in single skating and also won the world team championship.

In August, the 26-year-old figure skater said that after completing her sports career, she wants to try herself as a TV presenter.
