Saudi Al-Nasr and Portuguese national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo talked about his plans for his sports career. His words are quoted Record.
“Yesterday we spoke with Pinto da Costa (President of Porto – socialbites.ca) and he offered me the test of scoring 1000 goals. But I want to reach 900 before reaching 1000. I’m confident at 900 goals, but for 1000 I’ll have to jump through more than one hurdle.
There were some events in my personal and professional life that forced me to make short-term plans. “My body responds well to the load, I am happy to play both for the club and the national team, I score goals,” he said.
On October 13, Ronaldo, as part of the Portuguese national team, beat the Slovakia national team (3:2) in the qualifying match for the European Championship. The 38-year-old football player scored a double goal. Thanks to this victory, the Portuguese advanced to Euro 2024 ahead of schedule.
During his club career, Ronaldo played 979 matches in all competitions, scoring 726 goals and registering 231 assists. He played 202 times for the Portuguese national team, scored 125 goals and made 44 assists.
