Two-time Olympic silver medalist Evgenia Medvedeva admitted in her program “No Comment” that until she was 14 years old, she did not fully understand why she was doing sports.
“People want to hear about the fact that I took up skating as a child and dreamed of becoming a world champion and an Olympic champion. But I tell people: “No, I had a hard time. “My mother would grab me by the neck and take me to the ice rink every day.” Until I was 14 and grew up and realized that I really needed this. It became a part of my life,” Medvedeva said.
At the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games, the Russian woman took second place in the individual championship and team tournament. After the Games, he switched from Russian specialist Eteri Tutberidze to Canadian Brian Orser, but returned to Khrustalny in 2020.
