The Lada Sport Rosneft team performed successfully at the final stage of the Russian Circuit Racing Series (RSCS) at the Fortress Grozny circuit in the capital of the Chechen Republic, the Rosneft press service reported. The Tolyatti team won 5 victories and also confirmed the title of best in class “Super Production”.
The company states that Lada Sport Rosneft was the leader in the Touring class all weekend. Team pilot Ivan Chubarov won the qualifications and the first race and secured the title of vice champion after the results of his first season. In the second race of the prestigious class, Vladimir Sheshenin became the winner.
Pilot Mikhail Mityaev won the Russian Cup in the Super Production class by winning the final race. Leonid Panfilov won the bronze medal in this class at the end of the season. These results enabled the Lada Sport Rosneft team to take first place in the Super Production class team competition at the end of the season.
Rosneft reminded that the company has been the general sponsor of the team since 2015, supporting the success of Lada pilots and developing Russian motor sports.
