According to the results of the first day of the World Junior Sambo Championship, winners and prize winners in 13 weight categories were determined. This was reported by press service International Sambo Federation (FIAS).

Athletes from Russia perform in a neutral status. On the first day of the tournament, the gold medals were won by Daria Rechkalova (girls up to 80 kg), Valery Gerasimenko (boys up to 98 kg), Aliya Mukhametyanova (girls up to 50 kg), Daria. Baranenkova (girls, up to 65 kg), Alisa Pavlova (girls, over 80 kg), Pavel Ivanov (juniors, up to 58 kg), Alena Alekhina (juniors, up to 59 kg) and Idris Abdurashidov ( combat sambo, up to 58kg) 64kg). Third place went to Nazar Morozov (up to 53 kg in men), Aslan Gasimov (up to 71 kg in men) and Dmitry Evseev (over 98 kg in juniors).

The competition will take place in Bishkek between 6-8 October. The general partner of the tournament is the Rosneft company, and the official partner is VTB Bank.
