Russian Olympic Committee President Stanislav Pozdnyakov called for the introduction of conditions for neutral status for Russian athletes to perform at the Games in Paris. His words are quoted “Match TV”.

“We did not receive an invitation to the Olympics. Neutralization conditions are imposed on us based on our passport. The Olympic movement could no longer withstand political pressures and Lausanne took one of the political sides. They avoid any decision. Our athletes are not welcome at the Olympics. Pozdnyakov said that whoever gets there will not get a fair trial, safety cannot be guaranteed, nothing will happen.

At the end of February 2022, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) appealed to international sports federations, recommending that Russian and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions.

At the meeting of the IOC Executive Committee on March 28, 2023, it was proposed to allow the Russians to remain in neutral status if the athletes are not actively involved in supporting military operations.

The Olympic Games will be held in France in the summer of 2024.

Previously Tatyana Tarasova named A condition for Russian athletes to accept neutral status.
