Former Spartak Moscow forward Emmanuel Emenike in an interview “Sports Express” Krasnodar forward Olakunle reacted to Olusegun breaking his own record and becoming the author of the fastest goal in the Russian Premier League (RPL).
“You’re kidding! Seriously? Olusegun is now the new king of RPL, haha! Cool!” Emenike said.
In October 2022, Olusegun became the author of the fastest goal in RPL history, scoring in the ninth second of the match against Rostov. The Bulls forward broke Emenike’s record – on July 21, 2012, the Nigerian player sent the ball into the goal of Alania Vladikavkaz in the 10th second.
Emenike played 49 matches in all tournaments for Spartak and scored 24 goals and made 8 assists in these matches. The red-white African player became the silver medalist of the Russian Championship in the 2011/12 season.
Olusegun made 51 appearances in all competitions for Krasnodar, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
