The goal scored by Argentinian Pablo Vainstein with three seconds left allowed TM Benidorm to overcome a three-goal deficit in the last three minutes and score a point at the Frigoríficos del Morrazo field, thanks to the intervention of defender Nacho Vallés. -34).

As in Puente Genil the week before, the staging of Frigoríficos was second to none. The Galician team, which was solid in defense and played a great game in attack, dispatched Benidorm without responding (6-2), even though their coach Sergio Carballeira called for the first half in the 7th minute.

Frigoríficos doubled its opponent on the scoreboard in the middle of the first half (12-6), despite goalkeeper Jorge Pérez barely touching the balls in his goal. However, the rotations hurt Nacho Moyano’s team, which weakened in attack. Each defeat was exploited by Benidorm, who had chances to take the lead before the break, but Jorge Pérez appeared in the Canguese goal.

The draw (21-22, 26-24) continued until Frigoríficos gained a four-goal lead (29-25) immediately after Carballeira’s break. Jorge Pérez was at his best on the pitch and the Galicia team relied on him to take charge in the final five minutes.

And therein lay the key to the shootout because at 33-30, center Ricardo Bandao put Benidorm down with a shot from six metres. Krystian Witkowski took the shot with great difficulty and Nacho Vallés showed his arm to silence O Gatañal.

Nacho Moyano stopped play after a partial score of 0-3. There was just over a minute left. With his team looking for a long attack, Brais González made the score 34-33 with 20 seconds left. Benidorm attacked with seven men to gain the upper hand, where Argentinian Pablo Vainstein found a freeway to make it 34-34.
