Spartak legend discharged home after stroke 12:58

In conversation with Yuri Gavrilov, former midfielder of Spartak Moscow and the USSR national team Metatations He stated that he was discharged from the hospital after suffering a stroke.

“My health is more or less good, I go to bed feeling stronger. Have you been discharged from the rehabilitation center? Yes, I am already at home,” said Gavrilov.

The Spartak veteran was admitted to intensive care on May 30. The next day, Gavrilov’s son reported that his father had a stroke due to a blockage in the vein in his neck and would remain in intensive care for a few more days. On June 7, the former football player successfully underwent surgery on his carotid artery.

Gavrilov played for Spartak from 1977 to 1985. As part of the red-white team, he twice became the USSR champion, in 1983 he became the top scorer of the USSR championship. A member of the USSR national team, Gavrilov won a bronze medal at the Olympics.

On September 23, Spartak will play at home against Dynamo Moscow. The match will be played at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium and will start at 19.00 Moscow time.
