Former Spartak president Andrei Chervichenko spoke about the verbal argument between team coach Guillermo Abascal and Russian national team coach Valery Karpin due to the injury of midfielder Ruslan Litvinov. His words are quoted RT.
“I cannot call the disagreement between Karpin and Abascal a conflict. And that’s not even shifting responsibility to each other. The Spaniard tries to blame the team’s failures due to uncertain play on his colleague. This is absolutely normal for Spartak: they always blame everyone around them, but they blame themselves. There is nothing new in this style of behavior,” Chervichenko said.
Abascal said before the Sochi match that Litvinov suffered an injury before going to the Russian national team, where the national team is known. The midfielder played 90 minutes in the match against Qatar. The meeting ended in a 1:1 draw. Valery Karpin said that Abaskal was either deliberately misleading the public or he did not have information. Litvinov did not take the field in the Sochi match.
Previously at the Ministry of Sports spoke About Karpin’s call to leave RPL.
