Russian figure skater Vasilisa Kaganovskaya published photos on social networks in her turquoise dress with a train.
In one of the photos, she poses against the backdrop of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
Kaganovskaya performed with Valery Angelopol until the 2023/24 season. The dissolution of the Kaganovskaya-Angelopol duet became known on August 31. Initially, Angelopol stated that he would not make any comments to the media on this matter. Kaganovskaya said that Angelopol demanded that she be placed under full security.
The skaters became the winners of the 2023 Russian Grand Prix, as well as the Junior Grand Prix. In March 2021, Kaganovskaya and Angelopol scored 171.38 points in the Russian Junior Cup final, losing only to Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin.
In the 2023/24 season, Kaganovskaya will be paired with Maxim Nekrasov.
At the end of February 2022, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) appealed to international sports federations, recommending that domestic and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions. The International Skating Union (ISU) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from competitions.
