Russian figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva said that she plans to compete in the Russian Cup stages in Krasnoyarsk and Moscow in the 2023/24 season. Sports24.
“I have the Russian Grand Prix stages in a month and a half. There is still a lot of time to prepare. It looks like I will be performing in Krasnoyarsk and Moscow,” said Tuktamysheva.
Tuktamysheva became world and European champion in 2015 and won silver at the world championship in 2021. She won two stages of the Russian Grand Prix in the 2022/23 season and finished third in the final of the tournament. She also won a bronze medal at the national championships.
The figure skater has never qualified for the Olympic Games. In the 2021/22 season at the Russian Championship, the qualifying tournament for the 2022 Games, Tuktamysheva initially finished seventh, rising to sixth after the championship winner Kamila Valieva was canceled due to a positive doping test.
