Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, the renowned Russian figure skater, has outlined plans to compete in the 2023/24 season’s Russian Cup stages in Krasnoyarsk and Moscow. With the first Grand Prix event approaching in roughly six weeks, she emphasized that there remains ample time to train and fine-tune her routines. It appears she is preparing to showcase programs in both Krasnoyarsk and Moscow as part of her seasonal schedule.
Her career highlights are illustrious. The skater secured world and European titles in 2015, and earned a silver medal at the world championships in 2021. In the 2022/23 season, she claimed victories in two Russian Grand Prix stages and finished third in the competition’s final, also earning a bronze at the national championships. These results underscore a sustained level of high performance across major national and international events.
Despite a long and storied career, Tuktamysheva has not yet qualified for the Olympic Games. During the 2021/22 Russian Championship, which served as the qualifier for the 2022 Olympics, she initially placed seventh but rose to sixth after the eventual champion Kamila Valieva was disqualified following a positive doping test, altering the final standings and the Olympic trajectory for several skaters.
