Former president of Spartak Moscow, Andrei Chervichenko, believes that the victory against Sochi in the eighth round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) will not make the situation easier for the red-white coach Guillermo Abascal. He shared his opinion with him RIA News.

“Spartak left no impression. You can still deal with the teams in the second eight this way, but more serious opponents will definitely punish you. They spent the most money, but there was no such game. The newcomers – Theo Bongonda and Srdjan Babic – somehow improve the situation, but the rest are not impressive at all.

In many ways we were lucky to rebound; Sochi could easily survive until the final whistle. I don’t think this victory will make Guillermo Abascal’s situation any easier. This could not be achieved with the coaching decisions and the game.

The team did not know and did not understand how to open such a Sochi. There was no teamwork, I had to score points not with skill, but with bad tenacity, as if I was breaking a door with my shoulder,” Chervichenko said.

The match played at Moscow’s Otkritie Bank Arena stadium ended with the home team leading 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored by red-white defender Srdjan Babic (90+2 minutes). socialbites.ca edited a text online broadcast meetings.

The red-whites rose four places to sixth place in the RPL standings, with 13 points after eight weeks. Sochi ranks 12th with 7 points.

In the next round, Guillermo Abascal’s team will play at home against the capital’s Dynamo team, while Sochi will play away against Krylia Sovetov Samara. Both matches will be played on September 23.
