Zarema Salikhova, wife of Spartak Moscow’s former owner Leonid Fedun, appreciated the success of head coach Domenico Tedesco in the Belgian national team. He shared his opinion with him Sports24.
“Tedesco in Belgium is amazing! With his arrival, the national team, which had performed disastrously poorly in Qatar, became a cohesive team again. Some laughed at Tedesco: he said that the atmosphere in the team, the microclimate, was important to him, he called it affectation due to excessive emotionality, and his football was boring and primitive.

Tedesco took charge of Spartak from 2019 to 2021. The red-whites finished the 2020/21 season in second place under his leadership. He was appointed head coach of RB Leipzig in December 2021. He was sacked in September 2022 after losing to Ukrainian team Shakhtar in the Champions League.
In February this year, the German specialist led the Belgian national team. On September 12, the Belgian team defeated Estonia (5-0) in the sixth round of the 2024 European Championship qualification.
