The Mexican national team started its World Cup process with Jaime Lozano and in GOAL we look at what was left of FIFA’s September date.

After being confirmed as coach of the Tricolor, Jaime Lozano began his process towards the 2026 World Cup. For his first official call-up with Mexicothe national selection faced its counterparts from Australia and Uzbekistan in the American Union.

For their first match, the Mexican national team came from behind to recover from a 2-0 deficit against the Socceroos. For their second match, El Tri managed to beat the Uzbek team 2-0.

Fortunately, things were more positive for those led by ‘Jimmy’, who made the most of the call, trying to give minutes to all the domestic and international players called up.
